Hi my laptop came with vista home basic pre-installed and i put windows 7 on now. The manufacturer does not provide recovery media any more , and Microsoft will not provide an ISO because it refuses the OEM product key. So apparently the disk isn't available anywhere... All anyone needs to do is if you have an old computer with Win7 key on the bottom use that key and it'll activate it. There are a few utilities that'll show your serial number on those machines if the sticker is gone, run it and use that to activate win 10. Just let it do it's thing and rebooted and now I'm legit licensed etc.
I have a full version of a Dell Windows 7 32-bit, but it will not allow me to run the 8GB of ram on my 64-bit computer. I'm pretty sure the MCT will download the ISO you need and activate using your SLIC code. I can not use a ISO from Microsoft with my Windows key. The only solution from Samsung is to find someone with the Samsung Systems Recovery Media for Windows 7 64-bit or buy a new computer. I'm downloading the 32 version now, thank you very much sir. I'll update you later if I got a problem. What you are talking about doesn't appear to be the same issue at all. In OP's case the issue had to due with activation, which happens after the install is complete. This post is on the cusp of being nuked for piracy to be honest.
It looks like a Microsoft COA but it is a Samsung Electronics owned software. Why would you want to take a chance on a non licensed installation? It's not likely MS will care, but what if somewhere down the road they do? Besides, maybe the owner wants to stick with 7.
Any machine with 7 Home Premium is fine. As long as OP knows someone with a disk he'll be set. If you enter an OEM key from Dell/HP/etc. It says that's not valid and won't let you download.
